The Well is pleased to offer Chiropractic Care as another means of helping your body to heal. We strongly believe that Tonal Chiropractic Care from our Holistic Chiropractor is a wonderful addition to your Nutrition Response program.

Chiropractic and nutritional care are the perfect combination to restoring and maintaining one's health.Through two unique sciences and art an individual can come to the Well of Life and truly heal. By restoring the functions of the organ systems through the proper nutrition and releasing the nervous system from tension, the individual person can achieve levels of health and function that God purposed us to have.

Correcting the Spine

Symptoms of a misaligned spine include aches and pains, disc problems, fatigue, dizziness, headaches, a weakened immune system, and dis-ease. A misaligned spine can occur from any injury - motor vehicle accidents, a fall, bumping your head, or even an injury that took place years before such as a difficult birth, falling off of your bike, or sports injuries. Misalignments are often referred to as subluxations. When subluxations occur, the spine is distorted and less stable, ultimately causing nerve and disc damage which leads to decreased life force.

Prolonged nerve damage of the nerves that exit the spine can affect many systems of the body. All of these spinal nerves go from your brain to every part of your body through the spinal cord.

Our primary goal is to remove these subluxations from your body using specific and gentle chiropractic techniques, enabling the spinal nerves and joints to function properly, thus allowing the natural healing process to begin. As a result, we find that pain and related symptoms are eliminated and a greater ability to enjoy life and reach optimal health is achieved.

Upper Cervical Care

Upper Cervical Chiropractic is a very specific approach that corrects a misaligned spine utilizing physics and biomechanics. When a spine is misaligned, the entire spine is out of alignment rather than single vertebrae at various points along the spine. With Upper Cervical Care, a very subtle and specific correction is made from the top bone of the spine, by hand, which then allows the entire spine and pelvis to come into balance naturally. During the correction, the patient does not experience any twisting or turning of the head, neck, or back. Instead, only a slight pressure is felt below the tip of the ear. With this correction, the entire body is returned to a balanced, neutral position, which is where the body wants to be. The Upper Cervical method that Dr. Gindhart uses is based on the N.U.C.C.A. technique.

Instrument Adjusting

With Instrument Adjusting, there is no twisting, turning, “cracking” or “popping” of joints. Instead, you receive gentle, specific corrections to your spine and structural system (shoulders, knees, hips, etc). Adjustments can be done with you standing, sitting, or laying on a table. Moreover, adjustments can be made in what is referred to as the ‘position of pain’. This is where the patient says “it only hurts when I do this… (swing a golf club, sit in my car seat, bending over, walking)”. This system of adjusting permits us to quickly, easily and gently check and correct your body for subluxations either in a neutral position or in the position that is causing the pain, often bringing quick resolution and a reduction or elimination of pain. The Instrument Adjusting methods that Dr. Gindhart uses are based on a combination of Koren Specific Technique (KST), Torque Release Technique (TRT), and Activator Technique.

Auriculotherapy

Auriculotherapy is a procedure that utilizes the stimulation of the auricle, or the external part of the ear, to aid in the alleviation of health conditions throughout the body.  Through a combination of classical Chinese medicine and recent research, auriculotherapy has been shown to help the body break addictive cycles and minimize pain.
What is the connection between addictions, pain, and your ear?  It has to do with the flow of neurotransmitters, or chemicals, leaving your brain.  In order for you to feel good, these neurotransmitters must be release at the proper time in the proper amounts.  If their release is disrupted, your overall feeling of well-being diminishes, which may cause you to seek mood-altering substances or activities.  The release of these neurotransmitters can be ‘recalibrated’ via the stimulation of specific points in the ear.

I've been coming to Doctor Jon for chiropractic care for about two years. I had pain in back for a while and found that through regular adjustments those areas greatly improved. I feel good that my spine is being taken care of and therefore my body is functioning properly
-Alix R.

When I first came to Dr. Gindhart I spent almost all of my time outside of work in bed on a heating pad. Through his gentle chiropractic care, I feel like a new person! I lost weight and walk regularly. I also enjoy having time to spend with my family and friends that I wasn't able to do prior to regular adjustments. I'm so grateful to Dr. Gindhart for giving me my life back!
