Kinesio Taping
What is Kinesio Taping?
Kinesio Taping was first developed in the 1970s by Japanese Chiropractor Kenzo Kase. He wanted to develop a non-restrictive medical tape for his patients that allowed for a full range of motion while providing pain relief. Traditional medical tape limits range of motion while constricting muscle movement while Kinesio Tape allows for long-lasting comfort.
Kinesio Taping relieves pain, corrects muscle function, and improves circulation of both blood and lymph flow.
Benefits of Kinesio Taping
Kinesio taping reduces pain, swelling, scar tissue, and muscle activity while improving healing, posture, nerve receptors and muscle contraction. And Kinesio taping isn’t just for athletes! 85% of Kinesio Tape applications are non-athletic. It is extremely helpful for restoring posture and eliminating pain.
Kinesio Taping can be used for a range of conditions such as:
Achilles Tendonitis
Plantar Fasciitis
Cervical and Lumbar Sprains
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Elbow Bursitis
Shin Splints
Plantar Fasciitis
Patellar Pain
Lymphedema
and much more!

Would Kinesio Taping Benefit Me?
Kinesio taping is used on all kinds of patients. For all those patients who continue to need a tactile cue to stay in certain postural positions, tape is great. For all those patients in pain from swelling, inflammation and injury, tape is great. For
those patients who just need an extra ‘oomph’ to feel better, tape is perfect.
Kinesio taping can help anyone: its soft, cotton fibers are 100% latex-free, making it hypoallergenic. It’s water-resistant and doesn’t impede movement. It’s an easy, accessible solution that works seamlessly with other treatments for optimal results.
