Flowpresso
Compression therapy is a key mechanism of the devices used for mechanical lymphatic drainage, and that’s where Flowpresso comes in.
The FLOWpresso® system is a technology created in New Zealand and designed by lymphatic specialists. The device is currently under submission to the FDA. It delivers a 3-in-1 sensory treatment for deep relaxation and enhancing physical and mental wellbeing.
The technology is used by professionals in health clinics worldwide, among which are the Dr. Drobot clinics in Northern America. The beauty of the The FLOWpresso® is that it is both a manual and mechanical lymphatic drainage therapy. It involves a cyclical compression bodysuit, which has about 22 air compression chambers that inflate and deflate sequentially with the help of a specialist. It is believed to stimulate and decongest the body’s lymphatic system, which is responsible for creating physiological balance by draining excess fluid, enhancing immunity by filtering out bacteria and other pathogens from the blood and removing waste generated by the body’s cellular activities.
This unique combination of therapies releases toxins and puts the body into a ‘rest and restore’ state, working with our physiological processes to switch off fight or flight mechanisms, and facilitate healing and repair.
How Flowpresso Works
The lymphatic system gets congested sometimes as it filters waste, toxins, and bacteria. That’s why stimulating its flow manually has a lot of benefits. The The FLOWpresso® helps get rid of toxins in the body through a three-in-one non-invasive method involving compression, far-infrared heat, and deep pressure.
Compression is achieved by the inflation and deflation of the cyclical compression bodysuit. It works by applying gentle pressure on areas of the body to improve the circulation of blood and lymphatics. Far infrared heat is like what you have in saunas. This heat seeps directly into the skin and warms the body from the inside. It aids relaxation, blood flow, and better sleep quality and even helps to relieve chronic pain.
Deep pressure is like compression therapy but feels like you’re being given a warm hug. This has proven to be beneficial in calming anxiety and aiding relaxation. All The FLOWpresso® mechanisms are directed towards relaxing the body. Achieving this switches the body from the stress-induced sympathetic state to a parasympathetic state of calm that enhances lymphatic drainage.

Who Needs The Flowpresso Therapy?
Almost anyone can benefit from the The FLOWpresso® therapy. However, it is not recommended if you’re pregnant or have one or more of these medical conditions:
- Liver disease

That said, The FLOWpresso® may be specifically recommended for those who have had surgery or other conditions that have led to a fluid build-up in their bodies known as lymphedema. Recently, more types of The FLOWpresso® therapy have gained popularity and have switched from conventional use. Some of them include facial lymphatic drainage as a part of their beauty regimen and massage therapy for cellulite.

Deep-Pressure Therapy
FLOWpresso® applies deep pressure to the body – similar to a hug – promoting profound and effortless relaxation that allows the body to calm and release the daily stress of life while detoxifying and promoting rejuvenation.

Support Lymphatic Drainage at home with Flow Vibrate!
Advanced Bio Sonic Technology to support lympathic drainage of the face and neck area at home
Flow Vibrate supports lymphatic drainage of the neck and face, using advanced bio sonic technology and techniques (as shown in our video below).
In order to move lymphatic fluid it requires muscle contractions (such as the contraction of the heart when it pumps). The vibration delivered by this bio sonic technology, creates these muscular contractions.
The vibrating waves bring you benefits, from de-puffed under-eyes to releasing tension in muscles and connective tissues of the face, neck and head, which in turn reduces stress and improves facial contouring.
Oh, and it feels extra-good on those tight facial muscles.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear for a Flowpresso session? How do I prepare?
Clients remain fully clothed throughout their session – long sleeves and full-length trousers required. We suggest loose-fitting clothing. Refrain from applying any lotions, oils, creams, or perfumes prior to your session for the best results. We suggest drinking plenty of water, six to eight glasses, before and after each session to assist your body’s detoxification process.
How often should I schedule sessions for optimal results?
Clients experience the best results by investing in a series of regular sessions, rather than taking a one-off approach. This is because the more often we put the body into a parasympathetic state, the more opportunity it has to reset and repair.
And as we all know, regular relaxation is paramount in maintaining optimal mental health. This is why we recommend at least three sessions, with a minimum of three days in between sessions.
One session per week is ideal and there is no limit on how many sessions people can have.
Is aftercare recommended?
Drink plenty of water, six to eight glasses, before and after each session to assist your body’s detoxification process.
Are there any side effects?
FLOWpresso Therapy enhances your body’s innate ability to heal and has no harmful side effects.
You may experience an increase in bladder and/or bowel activity or a minor detox reaction as toxins are eliminated from your body. The most common detox symptom is a slight headache. Drink six to eight glasses of water before and after your session to assist your body’s detoxification process and minimize the potential of detox symptoms.
Is there anyone who should not use Flowpresso?
Each modality has its own contraindications as to who they would best serve, so be sure to check with our client advocate for contraindications as well as your clinician to find out which modality is best for you and your health goals.
